Choice of colours, chose Multicam because it is the latest edition and I preferred to be stealthy. Also when it is dirty or soiled Multicam would just cover it. The jacket has a longer back so that when you bent, your back is not exposed. All these jackets are Made in China. Quality is good except for some loose stitching that needs trimming, not a problem at all. For the price is worth every penny spent


Many hikers made mistake in purchasing a Gore-Tex gear. Gore-Tex is a Hard Shell gear which only used in extreme weather condition. In reality, a water resistance, wind proof, breathable, stretchable gear is the right choice and that is a Soft Shell.

Gore-Tex or any Nylon waterproof material is a Hard Shell gear. A soft shell will keep you warm and decently dry and a hard shell will NOT keep you warm but definitely dry.

My thoughts when it rains heavily, throw over the soft shell with cheap disposable rain gear and this will get the job done. There you go...save plenty of $$$ over Gore-Tex and similar material.

So..do I need a Gore-Tex after all? The only Gore-Tex I will invest is on my feet.
