Just received a new set of Egg Beaters' parts from Crank Brothers. Wrote to them an email indicating the material deterioration on the shank and they gladly asked if I wish to have a replacement. They did not charged me a cent either for the parts or postage.
Crank Brothers SL Egg Beater is one of the better clip-on for any bicycle. Started using it because the terrain we cycled often wet and muddy and it proved to be very efficient. Unlike some clip-on, when you take a tumble your shoes is still stuck to the pedal and the whole bike would land on you but the Egg Beater proves to be different, it automatically clip-off.
These add on clip-on platform really "sux" to use during off-road.
